“Well, for starters…” I said, pointing at the pimple next to my eye. “I think I got the short end of the genetic stick, and it’s really getting to me.
“I mean, how is it that some people, like you, were born with all the right genes… and I’m stuck fighting acne my whole life — and now wrinkles too?!”
Sarah just laughed. “You think I was born with good genes?!”
After a short lecture about all the pain she endured in her 20’s and 30’s, Sarah said something that stopped me in my tracks.
“When I saw my first wrinkle, I decided to fight — to do everything I could to keep myself feeling and looking great.”
Then she told me all about her journey to fight wrinkles and acne at the same time. For years, she juggled various creams and lotions, tested half a dozen spa treatments, and spoke to three dermatologists.
She eventually found a combination of skincare products that was effective — but altogether, they were extremely expensive, time-consuming, and difficult to travel with.
